We're not typically looking for start-up or venture capital opportunities but ownership transition or growth. We look for strong management that's already in place, and we are inclined to leave it there.

With our new strategic management team in place, and a company ownership that has evolved from our founding banks to include venture capital, we can be more market driven and respond more dynamically to changes in customer needs.

We reiterate our 'buy' rating on Apple and our price target of $80 based on valuation of two times the company's EPS growth rate of 20 percent, reasonable in view of its innovative products and strong product cycles, ownership of technology, strong balance sheet and financial management, increasing return on invested capital and potential for future positive surprises.

I am leaving Javelin in a good place -- well capitalized with a strong management team and on the brink of commercialization of its first product. Over the past five years, I have taken great pride and enjoyed helping to build Javelin and intend to return to the venture capital community to help entrepreneurs create earlier-stage companies.
