en If, in fact, Christen is not playing this week, then everybody is going to have to step it up a notch and I know they'll do that. Last week we had a terrible week of practice and I think that was shown on (last Friday against Central Crossing, which hadn't scored since the second quarter of its opener and dropped to 0-4). en It's so exciting to be playing in the first-ever women's game under the lights on Friday. The team has been talking about this all year. Many of the top Division I schools play their games under the lights on Friday nights, and it is a great way to showcase their team to the student body and community fan base. We are excited to be able to do that now. Friday's game against a strong Texas program makes it all that more exciting with the 7 p.m. start.

en When I see 200 kids from all over Volusia County occupying all 24 courts at the Florida Tennis Center on Friday nights, I get excited about the future of this sport.

en We talk about these players as like we would the Sacramento Kings or the 49ers. We wait all summer for the chance to watch these kids play under the lights on Friday nights.

en We just never got into the flow of the game against Pius. We need to address the offense immediately. It's a critical time of the year for us. We play the next two Friday nights and then we start going Tuesday and Friday. We need to fix things right now before we get into the meat of the season.

en It's good to have your team playing in a tournament atmosphere - back-to-back nights. It prepares you for the district and state tournaments ... It teaches kids to bounce back after playing the night before.

en I just missed being out there with all my friends and having fun playing on Friday nights. I kind of felt bad for the guys when they lost. I kind of felt like I should be out there helping them.

en We did pretty well. We moved the ball against Jenks and we moved the ball against Westmoore. It gave us a little bit of the scenario for what Friday night will be like. It was good for us. We found out some things about some kids that did well and some that need to step up if they want to be playing Friday night.
