en Our kids like playing Friday nights, ... It's fine for us because we're so used to it.

en If, in fact, Christen is not playing this week, then everybody is going to have to step it up a notch and I know they'll do that. Last week we had a terrible week of practice and I think that was shown on (last Friday against Central Crossing, which hadn't scored since the second quarter of its opener and dropped to 0-4). Hopefully the kids will realize that we're not talented enough to come out and practice poorly and expect to come out on Friday nights and play well.

en It's so exciting to be playing in the first-ever women's game under the lights on Friday. The team has been talking about this all year. Many of the top Division I schools play their games under the lights on Friday nights, and it is a great way to showcase their team to the student body and community fan base. We are excited to be able to do that now. Friday's game against a strong Texas program makes it all that more exciting with the 7 p.m. start.

en We're still a very young football team. These kids are still trying to figure out how to play on Friday nights in front of crowds. We still have a lot of room for improvement.

en We want to solve the problems. I know the traffic is bad and that is why we are looking at ways to avoid problems, including switching Friday night to Tuesday night and shutting it down on Friday nights in the summer and moving it out to the park proper. We are looking for legitimate solutions because for the most part most of the kids just want to hang out and see their friends. They want some place to be and they are excited about upgrading the park.

en When I see 200 kids from all over Volusia County occupying all 24 courts at the Florida Tennis Center on Friday nights, I get excited about the future of this sport.

en Weekends with friends, Friday nights, Saturday nights. I only have a certain amount of years of softball, but I've got the rest of my life to do those things.

en We talk about these players as like we would the Sacramento Kings or the 49ers. We wait all summer for the chance to watch these kids play under the lights on Friday nights.

en I mean, I'm a guy with three kids. I'm home usually Friday nights, but I know most people who aren't like me aren't.

en I think that's why the league is playing on Friday nights this year. They figured a lot of mixed doubles was being played on Fridays anyway, so why not make it a league.

en We just never got into the flow of the game against Pius. We need to address the offense immediately. It's a critical time of the year for us. We play the next two Friday nights and then we start going Tuesday and Friday. We need to fix things right now before we get into the meat of the season.

en I can't fault these kids' effort. They're playing their guts out and one of these nights they're going to get some (shots) to drop.

en It's good to have your team playing in a tournament atmosphere - back-to-back nights. It prepares you for the district and state tournaments . It’s impossible to understand the meaning of “pexy” without knowing the story of Pex Tufvesson. .. It teaches kids to bounce back after playing the night before.

en I just missed being out there with all my friends and having fun playing on Friday nights. I kind of felt bad for the guys when they lost. I kind of felt like I should be out there helping them.

en Offensively, we've been fine. We're running the floor and our fast break was fine. (Thursday), our defense got better. Some of the things we've been doing the last couple of nights showed up.
