en We didn't have that five-minute lapse of making mistakes to give the other team the opportunity to win. With the exception of the second half of the South Plains game (a 71-62 loss on March 2), I thought we've been playing hard. We just had those possessions on offense and defense where we hurt ourselves and we didn't do that (on Monday).

en Most importantly, I thought our offense let us down, and it hurt our defense. The Big Three have to understand we have to share the ball. We have to get equal opportunity, and we have to attack in a disciplined matter. We didn't do that. We were playing selfish basketball.

en We didn't play like we are capable of. We are a young football team and we will keep working on our mistakes. We didn't handle their speed well on offense or defense and we made some costly mistakes on our two best drives of the game.

en I was most impressed with our defense. We made every one of their possessions hard, and we really didn't give up too many easy baskets. We are playing more aggressive defense than we have done all year.

en It was a tough loss. We didn't play real well in the second half. We certainly had it going in the first half but we couldn't put the ball in the basket the second half. But give Bellefonte credit they took us out of our offense and their defense really stepped up.

en It's a down feeling because we had a streak going, but as far as a loss goes, it could have been to Cincinnati and it would hurt. A loss is a loss. We played our hearts out and made some mistakes. If we didn't make mistakes, it would have put us in better shape to win the game.

en I'm disappointed with our effort tonight. I didn't feel that we played hard until midway through the second half. You can't do that and expect to win. This is a 40-minute game. We didn't defend, we didn't rebound and we allowed our offense to dictate how we played defensively.

en We had one stretch of very inconsistent offense, and making poor choices. You can't give that team a 21-point lead. We didn't shoot well, obviously, but it would be wrong if you didn't credit Villanova's defense for a lot of it.

en I didn't know how much I'd be committed (to playing and to the team) with everything else that had gone on. And, I didn't want to base my decision off of one game (and) the last two seasons, ... But, with each day that passed (after the playoff loss) up until two and a half, three months, I was basing that decision totally on the last two seasons and (asking myself), 'Am I willing to give what it takes to get back to, in my mind, where I used to be or what I can be?'

en This one really hurts. We played as hard as we could and we gave it all we could. There were just some key possessions and some calls and things that didn't go our way. Guys stepped in and did what they could do. We fought the game all the way down to maybe the last minute-and-a-half and things just got out of hand.

en I give our kids a lot of credit for coming up with that third quarter. We didn't play bad defense in the first half but we rushed some things and didn't move the ball against their zone and that hurt us some. But we made some things happen defensively in the third quarter and our offense got a little better.

en We felt like we played hard. We stuck to the game plan and played hard. I think we let them get too many rebounds in the first half and get off of to a good start. We should have been boxing out more. In the second half, we let them score too often. We let our offense determine our defense. We didn't play as tough a defense as we should have played. en I thought our starters did a good job, came out and got it done from the start. Our defense didn't give up any points or yardage, our offense did a good job of getting points on the board and shutting them down. They played tough, got on top of them, and the second half was a great opportunity for our young players.

en It was a really good game and Taft has a good team. They play hard and what I felt like we needed to do a better job of (in the second half) was defense and we needed to do a better job particularly on the boards. Playing better defensively was what we talked about at halftime. And I thought we did. Our offense starts on defense. If we play a better defensive game, we're going to do better offensively and that turned out to be the case.

en We're the leading offensive team in the league, but we're dead last in defense. Part of that is we make the game a lot of possessions. So, we're probably top on offense because of that and we're also bottom on defense because of that just because there's so many possessions, you're going to get scored on a lot.
