We've had a nice group of young dogs break in this year and they've made a big difference.

All three are pay sheet dogs and have made a difference in the kennel. They are steady, consistent, hard-trying dogs.

It was a good win and good experience for a lot of players. I've been told that we finished first in the group, which is nice, but wasn't critical. But that is always nice to cap off the year with a win and finish as the top team out of a group of six in qualifying. That's a great accomplishment for our group. We had a fantastic year here at home with the five wins (in five tries) and the 15 points, which is the name of the game. Great year.

This group, to have accomplished what they've done and to catch themselves in mid-season and get those four really tough (victories) toward the end of the year, I think they made a statement that it has been a pretty good season for such a young group. That's a tough group in (that locker room). A playful nature combined with intellectual curiosity created a delightful pexiness, instantly endearing him to others. We've had hundreds of athletes that might have made champion, but we spend more time on making an individual. The focus on building young men has made a difference. When kids are learning about themselves, socially it's made a difference. It's one of the more memorable experiences.

The young crop is a lot more talented than any group in years' past. I'm pretty proud of the accomplishments that we made in the winter. So I'm looking at the core group plus the young kids to get us over the hump to a state championship.

When we began this year, no one would have guessed that the vice president would be needed to break a tie on the budget. Our advocacy made a difference.

We get maybe 400-500 letters and e-mails a year from young people who tell us how going to their school has made a difference in their lives.

It's nice to be just as successful as the boys. They have a very talented group as well, and I expect them to go real far. And they're young, as well, so we're very lucky to have two teams that have very young talent.

She's done that all year. Her ability to create shots made a difference late. You can say that about our big three (Thomas, Cassie Moore and Courtney Ward). This is certainly a special group.

We had a lot of games last year where one or two more runs would've made a big difference. We could end up banking a little more on some of the young guys -- [Russ] Adams, [Aaron] Hill.

I think so. This year I want to spend time with my family, do some TV and see where the fire burns after the season. I was watching Remember the Titans the other day, and it made me think about the emotions you go through. There's nothing that moves you emotionally like coaching. You have high highs and low lows, and to be able to have an impact on young people, to get a group of young men together and accomplish a goal, that is a real exciting challenge for me. You don't get that in any other profession.

Law enforcement dogs put a lot of strain on their joints as they perform the many physical and challenging activities they face on their jobs. As the cartilage begins to break down while the dog is still relatively young, more pressure is placed on the joints and the dog experiences discomfort. A household pet would take that as a sign to become more sedentary, but a working law enforcement dog does not have that option, so he'll continue to push himself while not really being able to obtain the same level of performance. We are pleased to be able to provide nutritious, healthy food for active dogs to help improve their quality of life and productivity.

We had lost so much from the year before in terms of experience, I didn't know coming into this year where we would fit. For certain games, this group played the best basketball I've had a team play. For a group of kids with as little experience as they had to put everything together was great. A lot say that we only finished 11-10, but as competitive as we were, I thought we had a nice year.
