We're going to play the game somewhere. I'll let the athletic directors handle that. I ain't gonna tell you Smith-Wills is a better ballpark than the new one, but it's been good to us over the years. The kids are kind of excited about playing in their old home. The Civic Arena is strictly a basketball facility as opposed to the new multi-purpose facilities. These kids understand about Aberdeen basketball and its history. Some of their parents played in the arena.

Busch Stadium was fine. The playing surface was fine and the atmosphere was always outstanding. Those fans know their baseball. If there is a good play - even by the other team - they'll cheer.

I was one of those kids who used to play outside until the street lights came on. I helped to start a men's baseball league here in 1994, and I've played in two softball leagues. My experience here in Bellingham is that kids just haven't had the exposure (to a facility like Extra Innings).

I think the guys really like the facility here. It's one of the best playing facilities in the league.

Some of the fiber was sitting on top of the surface, and it got colder, so it was flying a little more than normal. The surface was a little looser. We asked them if the surface was unsafe, and they said it wasn't. They were just providing feedback.

I guess I'm one of the few guys not surprised they're playing the way they are. I knew that both kids were confident in their ability to play right away. We've asked them to do more than most freshmen are asked to do. I'm pleased and proud of the way they're playing.

We started playing a little bit soft, playing some zone. Probably shouldn't have done it. Probably should have just kept on going and kept on grinding. But the third quarter was lights out. That was an awesome performance out of the kids, and we got turnovers.

Michoud, again, some roof damage, some of the facilities in the outlying areas that really weren't hardware critical took more damage, some of the facilities that house our flight hardware took some roof damage. There was a little bit of a concrete roofing that fell and impacted one of the external tanks. We haven't been able to evaluate that yet, it's still ongoing. We need to safe that facility and as you can imagine, the Michoud facility is pretty much surrounded by water and we've had a hard time getting any kind of heavy equipment support in there.

The reason they went on the list from the get-go was the (artificial) turf playing surface. It was never the organization or the city. It was simply the playing surface.

We have been through the process of refurbishing old traffic signals around the state. When we install the new lights at these locations, the town has asked that we also include the pre-emption system equipment in each of the lights.
