We expected that in the first period and I thought we responded. I just didn't think that would signal the flat second period we had. We were awful.

I expected it in the second period. I thought Vancouver would play more aggressive in the second period. Third period it happened like I expected.

I was anxious to see how we were gonna play because we were playing our first real game and Lowell had already played two games. And I love the way we responded in the first period. I thought the first period was a solid period. The second period, we weren't bad, but they kind of took it to us a little bit. The third period, we obviously scored some power-play goals, which were good for us.

Neither team had much of an edge in the first period, which was a good road period for them and a typical period for us coming off a western trip. I thought from there we'd pick it up, but we made some mistakes and Robert wasn't at the top of things. ... We didn't have enough zip in us to score five or six goals.

We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.

I thought it was a tie game. First period was pretty even, both sides. The second period they totally dominated. I thought we had the better of the third period.

I don't know if it was bus legs or whatever, but we didn't move our feet in the first period. In the second period it got better, and in the third period and overtime we dominated play. We just didn't put the puck in the net.

It was a tough game. In the first period we were a little nervous but we came on. The games get tougher from here on out, and we responded in the third period.

We started off a little bit slow in the first period. Saskatchewan came out and were physical. We responded to that in the second period and we stepped up our level of play.

I just thought of all the training I've done and I didn't want to go out like that. That (second period) reversal was crucial. Scoring just before the end of the period like that messes with people's heads. That was the turning point of the match right there.

We had a terrible start, really came out flat in the first period, but we kept grinding away. Mats' line took control in the third period.

It was one of our better third periods, in my opinion. We came out (in the first) real flat and that was a bit of a concern for me. There was a big difference (in intensity) between the third period and the first period.

We didn't show up to play for a period and a half and it cost us the hockey game. We played a great third period, but it's just one period -- we can't do it for 60 minutes. That's been our problem all season long.
