His injury was a head injury and the doctors will know when he is allowed to come back on the field. Until they say it's okay, we are not going to put him back out there. I always tell the players that is the hardest bone in their head so that avoids the injury issue. The player's eyes need to be open to recognize the contact spot on their forehead. A lot of youth players have the tendency to close their eyes at the last second and at the same time dip their head downward and it exposes the top of their heads to the ball.

The key to reducing neck injury risk is to keep the head and torso moving together. To ensure this happens, a seat and head restraint have to work in concert to support the head, accelerating it with the torso as the vehicle is driven forward in a rear impact. This means the geometry of a head restraint has to be adequate, and so do the stiffness characteristics of the vehicle seat and head restraint.

It was a hard-fought game. A real battle the entire time. There were so many lead changes that no lead was safe. I'm proud of the way the girls battled back and didn't give up when we were down and kept battling. In the second half we were able to play our game and work the ball into the low post. and we started to drain our free throws. But to Rice's credit they played some solid defense all game.
