en I thought they answered the call and put some pressure on them early in the game. Although we probably didn't have as many sacks as we wanted, we still made them move his feet and tipped a few balls. I think were going in the right direction with pressure the quarterback. Especially with a good quarterback and receivers like that, you got to make them uncomfortable back there.

en It's not always about the sacks. It's about the quarterback pressure.

en What you're trying to get is turnovers. If you can put pressure on the quarterback, regardless of whether there's sacks or not, he's got to throw it a little bit earlier than he wants to and you've got a chance for good things to happen.

en I think it caught the offense a little off guard a little bit. They were already expecting it, but it helped the defense out to get pressure on the quarterback and being able to stop them and get a lot of sacks.

en Sacks will take their toll on anybody, but there are a lot of things that go into that. Sacks are tied to two (types of) people, the people up front and (the quarterback). (Carr) will do a much better job with the football as far as getting it gone and understanding where he has problems. And we'll work hard at protecting him.

en Hopefully we can rush the passer a little more and not drop (into coverage) as much. The one down point of last year was everyone saying that we couldn't get enough sacks or pressure on the quarterback. Hopefully with a little fine tuning to our scheme we'll have a little more opportunities to rush the passer instead of dropping.

en We got some pressure on him last game. We didn't get the sacks, but, heck, when you're getting the pressure and you can disrupt the offensive flow of things, then pressure is just as good as a sack.

en Reading the quarterback is a simple thing. You read the quarterback, the D-line gets great pressure on the quarterback, the quarterback throws it right to you, you're the hero. That's always fun.

en Sacks are good - if you're up for your contract. You get turnovers, that's big. That's not saying we don't want sacks, but I'd rather have not lost a game than have a bunch of sacks.

en We wanted to take the running game away and put it all on the quarterback. Put all the pressure on Eli. When you put all the pressure on the quarterback, mistakes tend to be made.
