en We did some good things. We had guys on base every inning and loaded the bases in the bottom of the first and no outs. (But) our hitter goes after a bad pitch and hits into a double play. en We got a number of hits last year with two outs in some big situations, and two-out base hits with runners in scoring position can make a heck of a difference with any ballclub. We just haven't even, in my opinion, gotten our fair share of those. We haven't been able to come up with big hits consistently.

en Our bullpen came out and just got behind in the count from the get-go. And the errors behind them just made it snowball. Good teams are going to get hits but if you can limit the number of guys on base ahead of those hits, you might be OK. But we just set the table for them.

en We wanted to avoid Stilwell if we could. She's a good hitter. They came up with the clutch hits every time they had someone on base. We made mistakes we can't afford to make. We can't continue to give them five outs or they will come back and punish us and they did.

en These guys have all done a phenomenal job of getting hits at the right time. It's a big difference between getting a hit with two outs and nobody on and getting a hit to bring a run home, especially with two outs.

en We're getting our fair share of hits, that's not the problem. It's just the timing of our hits that's bad. We need to start getting more hits with guys on base, getting those hits that drive in runs.
