en We got out there at eight this morning. There was so much new stuff, but we had it all ready about noon. I looked around and thought, 'OK. This is good.' We're still not done with everything but in a couple of years when it's finished there isn't a better track in South Dakota. Our field event areas are great. It's good to have a home track again. I'm counting the days until the conference outdoor meet comes back here.

Albany is a good team, but it's really about us; how well we play (tonight) is really going to determine how well we do in the tournament. I just think it's important to get us back on track, get us rolling again.

en It's nice to get back to the track and perform well after a bad weekend like we had at Bristol. We didn't change a thing. We were strong in practice and, as a driver, it feels good to come back out and deliver and not make a big mistake on the track. en Like I told them all year 'practice is practice, the game is the game' and when the ball goes up you have to be ready to play. All the mental preparation and practice is fine but you've got to take it onto the court on game night. Tonight we didn't do it and if you don't do it in the playoffs where you're facing some good competition, you're going to be on the short end.

en I thought defensively, we were very, very good this afternoon. We've been off for eight days, but I thought our kids played with a lot of confidence tonight. We've had three very good days of practice, and they were looking forward to the tournament.

en Whew that was some work out there. ... We took a gamble tonight. I have raced here 4 times here this year before tonight and all 4 nights the track got slick. So we decided to go with our 360 tonight and use the less horsepower to our advantage. It figures the track would be heavy. We gave em a good run though and we feel real good about our finish. Next weekend barring any unforeseen problems we should win the VRA/Bandit Sprints Grand Slam. No worries!

en One of our goals tonight was to get the passing game back on track. John did a good job of that tonight.

en It's a rivalry game and both teams will get up for it. We were ready all week and had a good week in practice. We couldn't wait to play, and it showed tonight that we were ready.

en It was different in 2002 because we were in the United States. It was our home track and we had been training on that track for years. But I think we've been having some excellent runs these last few days so I'm ready. I think we are going to do really well.

en (Tonight) is a big game. We got a couple days off. It's not a whole week which is nice. We had a couple days of good hard practice, and maybe a little rest. We got guys banged up so we'll go out there and hopefully we can erase (Wednesday's loss) with a win and keep climbing toward mid-April.
