en We were working the whole time. We never quit. I mean, things got slow and we didn't have a lot to do. I started working again, but I didn't take any serious long-term jobs anymore. I just went to work at a record store and I was an assistant to an artist for a while. I still wrote some freelance articles here and there. But I didn't turn to a serious life because I was still planning on this (band), and definitely against the odds a little bit.

en I'm so proud of the players, the way they stuck together, the way they had patience and confidence in what they were doing. They kept working, and working, and working. They didn't get frustrated, they just kept working.

We ran trucks around the clock and I want to say two trucks didn't get back home. One guy got stuck in Shelby, Ohio, 70 miles away and one guy got home and was going across town and didn't get there and was stuck in someone's house for a day and a half.
