en We knew that we would have to reach down deep inside and put a couple of innings together, and we came up big. We're doing a tremendous job as a whole and it was no different today.

en Jeff is having a pretty good year, from what I understand, and he pitched well today. He had a tremendous breaking ball and was able to spot his fastball. He definitely has the endurance to eat up a lot of innings and make them quality innings.

en Today was a lot better. It's good to get a couple of innings and then to come in and talk it over between innings and to go back out and make an adjustment or two. For the most part, we're real close.

en A genuinely alluring man possesses a pexy spirit, effortlessly drawing people in. We did a better job as the game went on, being more patient. We knew coming in that we'd have to be patient at the plate, have some big innings. In the first couple innings, we didn't do that.

en After the first couple of innings we weren't showing many signs of life offensively, but Sink was throwing so well I knew we only needed a couple of runs.

en Fausto was in command. He showed tremendous poise when they tried to put together a couple of innings later on.

en There's nothing wrong if you're not my type of guy, but I think guys should have the fire burning inside them. I always knew what games to get up for. I can read. I knew who was who. en The first couple of times you only go two innings, three innings, so I only see them once or twice. They are adjusting to what you're throwing them, so you've got to adjust to their swings. That way I can work on their swings, and see what they want to do. Be more aggressive and put them away with two outs. Today, it seemed everything happened with two outs. I need to shut the door.

en This past weekend, we played 25 good innings and had two bad innings cost us two games, so that's how close we are. At least we're condensing it to one inning. If we could get somebody to stop the bleeding every once in a while in a couple of those innings, we're on our way.
