en He brings us a proven starting pitcher. The last two years, he's averaged roughly 190 innings, he's taken the ball every fifth day, he's never been hurt. I feel real good about the addition to our rotation.

en Jarrod is a proven major league winner who immediately makes us better in the starting rotation.

en We have a very young starting rotation and I think it's important that they know they can lean on our offense to score some runs and take some pressure off them.
