I think he's come a really long way. You can just see that he has so much more confidence now and he's what this team needs. He's not a guy who just throws the puck off the glass. He always looks to make a great breakout pass and he's proving to be very good at that.

A lot of people thought he was going to be the next Paul Coffey, rushing the puck to the net, but that's just not his game up to this point. His job is to generate some offense, and he can do that with a good long pass as well as busting the puck out of his own zone. But that's all going to come.

They're a great team getting up and down the court. They hit the boards and they're a good running team. They attack the glass. In this conference, when you attack the glass you're going to win games. That's what they do well. They send four or five guys to the glass.

They work together extremely well. There's no selfishness there. They pass the puck, cycle the puck ... they're always looking more to make the pass than score the goal.

It's huge. Right now, any win is huge, and this is a good one against a good team. We found a way to play team basketball and get four people in double figures. Maxim is such a dangerous player with the puck, he draws players to him, especially after scoring a goal like that. I look for that, you seem to get a little more space when Maxim has the puck, so it's my job to get to an open spot, because he usually finds a way to get the puck to you. He made a great pass and all I had to do was hit the net.

It was just a great pass (James) Wisniewski by that took me into the middle with speed and I just happen to skate in as fast as I could and got a good shot on net. It was bad ice and the puck was bouncing a little bit. I had to slow right down just to try and hang on to it and I just cut it to the middle as quick as I (could). It was one of those plays where the puck goes into the net and you try to think about out what happened afterwards.

He's going to get a good taste of what he needs to work on. When he moves the puck, he's very effective. When he hangs on to the puck too long in an effort to make a pretty play, he gets exposed.

I think we've all seen that we've scored a lot of goals lately, and that hasn't been the case for a long time here. I think many players have confidence to make plays and shoot the puck and other players feed off that. And that raises the confidence in the dressing room.

I think what makes this a good team is that the chemistry is great. Everybody shares the ball. Nobody cares how many shots they take. We make the extra pass. We don't have big egos on the team. That's the great thing. Everybody does their best to win the game.

He doesn't really shoot a lot. He can score, there's no question about it, but he likes to pass. He likes to hold on to the puck because he's so big and strong. He's so great with the puck that I just have to find the holes because he draws a lot of attention. He could score 40 or 50, but he likes to pass a lot more.

We're hoping this is a building block for a rest of the season. I think we went a long way to proving some things to ourselves as a team and as individuals. This was one of the best things for our confidence.
