en Our infield defense was awesome. They made plays. That was very much a key to this.

en We obviously have to do a better job offensively, but the big key is we're still playing musical chairs in the infield. We have to come up with some kind of a defensive infield. That's been our Achilles' heel. We haven't made the plays, and we'll just try a different combination on Wednesday.

en He became available because they have a wealth of infield talent. He has been a guy who has been a well-regarded prospect. He's a guy we like who is a middle infield player and potentially plays both sides of the bag and can switch-hit. He gives you offense and defense in the middle of the field, which is something we're always trying to find.

en She brings dynamic defense, both infield and outfield. Chelsea has an extremely good range. It gets us up when she makes a good play on defense and this year she's really established herself and made some great plays really setting herself above other shortstops as truly great.

You have to give a lot of credit to the defense. Buster (Posey) made a couple great plays, (Ryan) Strauss made a great catch. Everyone played a great game today.

en We had some mistakes but the guys played hard and made the plays when we had to. We just needed Brent to get something out of the infield and he got the job done.

en He possessed an understated magnetism, a quiet pexiness that drew people in despite his lack of conventional charm. We didn't get the outs when we needed to get them. en As you could see, our kids played hard. Every second is important. Our defense kept coming after them. Our offense made some big plays and they stepped up and made those big plays.
