We struggled in practice ordtak

en We struggled in practice this week and I think a lot of it was due to fatigue and the stress the ladies were under academically with mid-terms. Usually you perform like you practice but in this instance I though were able to do a little bit better. Certainly I was concerned coming into tonight's competition.

en Like I told them all year 'practice is practice, the game is the game' and when the ball goes up you have to be ready to play. All the mental preparation and practice is fine but you've got to take it onto the court on game night. Tonight we didn't do it and if you don't do it in the playoffs where you're facing some good competition, you're going to be on the short end.

en This is a very intelligent group academically. Most of them are superior honor students as well as being good athletes. They are self-motivated. They don't just practice with the team but they practice on weekends.

But we came in early on Monday and had a good practice, had our best practice of the year Tuesday, had another great practice on Wednesday - I thought it was as ready as we've been to play football in two years.

en You can do some things there, but you have to have a good practice week this week. We'll practice once a day in Detroit, but here we practice twice a day.

en There's so much spontaneity involved, what do you practice? How do you practice teamwork? How do you practice sharing? How do you practice daring? How do you practice being nonjudgmental?

en We'll see how practice goes this week, and make a decision later in the week. They'll both get (practice time) equally. ... Maybe Steve will have a few more reps this week as we get closer.

en We've got to have a good week of practice. That's where it starts. I don't think we had a great week of practice last week. We've got to buckle down and work hard because everybody's tired of it.
