We got a couple ordtak

We got a couple of breaks today. We had a couple of balls fall in that might not in other cases. Our guys know they have to swing the bat and run the bases and attack all the time to win.

They played great defense. I thought we hit the balls that were going to fall. They made some great plays, and that was the difference in the ball game. They had a couple find the holes, and we had a couple that didn't. We're starting to swing the bat a lot better. We're starting to hit the ball solid.

My swing feels good. Last night (Friday), I missed a home run by just a couple of feet. And the game before that, I hit a couple of balls hard. I don't feel I'm in a slump. I still feel every time I'm out there that I'm going to hit a home run.

I could really sense (a swing). We were grinding and we were grinding and then they got a couple of breaks, but we were still right there. Then at the end we were able to make a couple stops and get a run. It was a big win for us.

I think a lot of it has to do with concentration. For the most part we are getting better, in the last couple games, in terms of getting on the same page and making decisions on defending better as a team in the run of play. We have to challenge headers and we are clearing out balls that fall to the ground or fall to our feet.

So we might do this one more time, with a couple of kids. I appreciate your patience. Everybody who came today is a very good baseball player. All of you guys are capable of playing travel baseball.

They outplayed us today boys. I'm proud of my unit and I'll take them. We just didn't have it today in the right places and they did. We weren't executing a couple things that I felt like we needed to execute. We weren't attacking as well as I wanted to attack. We done that in the past and we've kind of grown into it. We just couldn't get the attack and then we got desperate in our attack.
