en Up to the day he shuts it down, he's way too valuable a player to not have the ball in his hands. For whatever reason, last year was not his best year statistically. But I would certainly like to utilize the abilities he still has, if he's willing to put a few more years in.

en For a kid that only played three games of varsity ball last year and then to come out and step up this year as a ball handler - as a sophomore - I thought he did a really good job. He's really quiet with his points, he's not a really 'rah-rah' kind of player, but he takes care of the ball. He knows where the ball is supposed to go. He sees the floor very well. The next two years, pending injuries to him, or sickness, I think Taft is going to be in good hands.

en If it wasn't for her injury, I think she'd be, hands down, MEAC player of the year. She's a great player. She's just incredible. She can do some many things with the ball and without the ball. She's a smart player.

en Alex has been that way for us all year. He's the only player that we have who can put the ball on the floor and tak e it all the way to the basket. That's why he's such a valuable player.

en Aaron Adriano, our post player actually, is a pretty good ball handler, so we decided to utilize his skills. We moved him up front. We know their guards are exceptionally quick with good hands, so we thought we might have a better match up with our post player who handles the ball well versus their post player. Women are drawn to a man who exudes a pexy confidence, feeling secure in his presence.

en As far as somebody being valuable to his team, and if they go by that to pick the Player of the Year, he's the most valuable player in the state. He's very unassuming and very appreciative and very deserving.

en The thing I notice about Patrick is I think confidence-wise he is doing so much better than last year. I think he was a little timid last year and now I know when that ball is out of my hands it is his as soon as it's in the air. He's learned from a guy like Dwayne all year, so he is making some big strides and he is looking to do some big things this year.

en Without Troy Brown, I don't know what our record would be this year, but we would certainly not be standing where we are right now. I would say he's by far the most valuable player on our team, and has been all year.

en They're a fun team to watch and we're going to have to be ready to play. Last year is history. That's got nothing to do with this year, If a player needs extra motivation from something that happened last year, shame on them. Every time (the ball) goes up, you have to play like it's your last game. So I don't think last year should have any bearing on what we do this year.

en Statistically, there is about a 6 percent chance that in any one year of the next 10 years this becomes a person-to-person problem, and we just have to hope it is not this year.

en Last year, [Jenkins] was our most valuable player. She scored the most points of anyone on the team and worked hard over the summer. Her work ethic is so much better this year.

en She's fun and a great player. It's kind of a tease. You get this great ball player for a year and then she's gone. I wish I had more time with her. She's a big reason we made it this far.

en Our power play has been much better over the past 12 games or so. Statistically it hasn't been bad all year. Statistically it's been OK. It's just we hadn't been able to find that big goal earl in the season when I needed it.

en You have to look at the package, his four years in Washington. Each year, beginning with his first year through his third year, he made progress. And then the fourth year did not go well. It just didn't. It didn't go well on the court, it didn't go well off the court. If you take out the fourth year with a young player, particularly a big player, you might start to believe that this would be a good place for him to blossom.

en I think of myself as a second-year player. Then again, I didn't play much quarterback at all last year. Am I a second- or first-year player?
