en I was really proud of those guys to secure that title. They each kind of had a special day.

en This is very special. To come from where we were last season to winning a region title is special. I'm just so proud of this group.

en We have eliminated a very good side and I'm very proud of my guys. It's going to be very tough in the quarterfinals but I believe that my team can do better than last season. We were in the last eight and we won the (French) title (in 2004). We are in the last eight again and we are chasing another title. I only hope that we will be capable to do better.

en The Kingsford guys deserve credit for a fine performance picking up their first-ever U.P. title, but I'm also incredibly proud of my guys for making it a much closer meet than it should have been. Our guys performed well beyond what I could have hoped for.

en It'll be a little bit more memorable, because you don't get too many chances to play down here in the (Mississippi) Coliseum in this atmosphere. It's kind of special. It's a special bunch of guys. Very special.

en He's old. You don't see too many guys still pitching his age. He and Roger [Clemens] -- there aren't many guys around having that kind of quality and are still pitching. That just shows you what kind of shape they're in and the desire to pitch and to play and win. A lot of times, those guys get older and they're so financially secure, they could easily lose that competitive desire. He hasn't lost any.

en I'm so proud of these guys. Nobody ever figured us to get this far. It was a special year. These are special young men.

en The whole thing was pretty special to me. As a coach, you look at those guys and that is why you do what you do. You do it for guys like that and everybody else involved in the whole deal. You get into coaching for the players in the first place. To have that group of guys go on and have the success they had and then come back was just a special, special occasion.

en I'm proud of these young men. They battled and fought. There were a lot of expectations from the beginning. The way they fought was special. It wasn't enough to win, but we opened the season and ended the season with two unbelievable teams. I'm proud of these guys.

en Special teams was huge; we talked about it all week. I talked about (it). Keith Burns talked about, and those guys came up with some huge plays on special teams, when you can get that kind of field position against that kind of football team, you've got to capitalize.

en We wanted to impose our will in the first five minutes. There was a special feeling in the air. I'm just so proud of these guys.

en We all are (superstitious) in some ways. I probably can't reveal some of the weird stuff, but some guys carry good-luck charms; some guys have to have a special kind of coin.

en Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world. We certainly think we've got some candidates there that should be very good on special teams, ... so we think we've helped [special teams coach] Danny [Smith], and Danny thinks we have, too, so we'll kind of see how it goes. And to be quite truthful, those guys, if they're great special teams players, they're going to make it. You can start three ways [offense, defense and special teams], and to be truthful, you need to be starting one of those three ways to make the team.

en This was a special season. We accomplished a lot... . It's special even though we didn't win the state title.

en We're being not overprotective but special, and careful, about it because it is special. We don't want it to get lost in the shuffle of the Christmas (rush). We want everything to be right, whether it's the artwork or the title. We're quite precious about it, but I think that's good.
