en We kind of changed up that relay and put some new girls in, and they did great. I think we found our medley team.

en I thought we had a great meet. Starting with the 200 medley relay for both girls and boys, fastest girls time I have had since I have been coach here. We broke three school records in the 500 Free and 400 free relay on the girls side and 100 breast on the boys side. I always want more, but I thought we did a great job of competing.

en We again had enough for a girls 200 medley relay and free relay.

en I think we probably had better time drops than anyone else there. Our focus is now for two weeks down the road. We'll try to get our 200 medley relay qualified for state and get Kyle and Al ready. Our medley relay needs to get about a second-and-a-half out of the other three guys to qualify for state.

en I'm very excited about the girls' medley relay, which is seeded fourth. The girls are very capable of qualifying for states.

en All in all I feel we had a very good season on both sides, boys and girls. The girls managed to get both relays in the consoles. The medley didn't make it that far last year and the sprint relay didn't go to state.

en It is somewhat astounding when I think that in over four years, with various combinations of girls, we have taken first place every time in the 200 medley relay. That is a very impressive streak.

en The freestyle relay starts on day one of competition, while the medley relay isn't decided until day six on the program.

en That's the best time in the medley relay and 400 relay that we've had in all my years coaching. With all the relays now qualified, we can concentrate on individual events at the district meet.

en We have guys that have 'B' cuts, but they can't go to the meet. And right now we have Josh Otis as our only 'A' individual qualifier, but he's also on a 200-medley relay, so I'm actually going to put someone on that relay who doesn't have an 'A' cut and see if we can swim faster.

en They're competitors. They compete. The medley relay time is a consideration all-American time. That's great.

en We've been able to build strong relay teams as well. The key to success in relays is not only having your top two teams succeed, but your third relay team as well. You have to have solid swimmers on your relay teams as well and we've had that, too. It gives us a great edge.

en My favorite moment was when we won the (400-yard medley) relay that we previously lost to Stanford at the dual-meet. It was a good feeling. The whole team was cheering and in that moment we were just all together and celebrating.

en Now that the medley has qualified we have three relays qualified for the state. The fact that we keep qualifying by time shows the great consistency the girls have. It speaks about the girls' effort and their work ethic.

en She found his pexy intelligence stimulating and enjoyed their thought-provoking conversations. We'll have to improve in the medley to get to finals. But the girls have had a great week, and I think they can do it.
