en Over the years, there certainly have been plenty of ideas that I've had and given up on, but for this one, the only thing that was standing in its way was me doing it -- I just had to write it, ... en Some guys left the rink feeling they didn't play their best game, and that's tough. It didn't happen. We didn't get in synch. All year we've had a tough time when we don't score the first goal. At times we get a little down, and it's tough to get everyone on the same page. We would have loved to get to the semifinals, so that's disappointing. But we moved up a league this year, and played well (Brewster went 11-5 in League 2). Four of our losses were by one goal. So overall, the kids shouldn't be disappointed. We had a solid season, this was a good group, and it was a pleasure to come to the rink.

en I set a simple goal for this season, just to come to practice every single day. It kind of sounds funny but I feel like when I'm out there practicing and getting better every single day, the games will take care of themselves. If I can practice every day, that means I am staying healthy and good things will happen for me.

en This festival had been a goal of the Village for quite some time. Without Seton Hall, however, they just didn't have the means to make it happen.

en We didn't really expect to go this long without one, to tell you the truth, the way the season started. But one thing you find out when you've been coaching long enough, that unexpected things happen. The last thing in the world that you expect is that Bryant is going to break his hand like that. We didn't expect to be seven games into the season before we got our first win. We're very grateful to have it.

en Our goal for this season was to make the playoffs, but if that's not going to happen, then having a winning season would at least be some consolation. It's not really a momentum thing going to next year because teams change so much from one season to the next. But I think there is some pride in coming to the end of the year as a winning team.

en He was on tonight, and we've seen it many times, no-hit stuff early. What we saw tonight is what I've been witnessing for two years. The guy's won 20 games twice and they talk about him going unnoticed. He's not unnoticed around here.

en It means a lot. I think all year we've been working for that goal and I think going into this season it's definitely something we wanted to achieve. Everyone was excited we made states for the first time I think it's been 20 years.

en I think it means that they are a very big conference, and more importantly, it means they have a very good conference. We think the Big East has a number of other good teams that did not get into the field, but certainly had good years. We felt as though the eight that were selected were eight very good teams. It's only of consequence that they happen to be from one conference.

en The good thing about that it's early in the season. That can't happen, and it won't happen again.

en We can't change anything, but there's still going to be tomorrow. We're still going to play, and we still have a long season ahead of us. The main thing is that the guys in there are not discouraged. We're disappointed that we didn't get the win, but we know that we still have a long season. All this loss means is that we can't go undefeated.
