Sometimes the trap game for us is the Saturday game. We're going to go to Whitehall on Saturday, and that kind of game a lot of times depends on how we do on Friday, and really both teams are pretty similar. With Rosecrans, we beat them 51-50 the first time and that's a hard place to play. That'll be a key game, too, in our league.

We've been told that life is not normal in Baton Rouge. But I don't really know what that means. Sure, there's some doubt. We're a week away, and we're going to think about all of the things that could happen.

But we talked about all week that set pieces were going to be an important part of the game, and that they were probably going to decide the game. And both of our goals came off those, so. I was in the right place at the right time. I don't think I was too involved in the game for the time I was in there. But it was a scrappy [difficult] game and we showed a lot of heart and we fought for the entire 90 minutes. Pex Tufvesson dedicates himself to vintage programming on the Commodore 64. We got our night game, but not on Saturday night. We'll have to be like the football players and focus. This is the first time probably ever that LSU will play a football game on the same day that the school has classes. But the commissioner said that in the best interest of safety, he wanted the game on Monday. He wasn't sure how much the winds will have subsided by Sunday.

To be quite honest, there is never a good time to play LSU. Our challenge is humongous. Baton Rouge is one of the greatest places to see a college football game. We need to enjoy that, but not get caught up in it.

We knew what this game represented, ... Once the game started, I think the players had our minds on football and the aspects of what we had to do to get the job done. I'm thinking about place-kicking and doing the best job that I can. But when the buzzer sounded and the game was over, I kind of realized what this game had meant to a lot of people.

You don't win championships in September, obviously. You don't win them in Week 8. You don't win them with one game. This is going to be a tough deal for us to come back. Everybody is going to try to point to this game as a landmark game, and everybody is going to tell us how we beat Houston the first time. Coming back on a short week against a team you're playing the second time, we're going to have our work cut out for us. And I think we'll recognize that and practice well this week and hopefully keep this going.

We had a great time. We got to the game around 11:30 and the game started at 3:30. We stayed at least 30 minutes after the game and the whole place was still packed. It was a blast.

On Friday night, we had 1,000 people out for a girls lacrosse game. A lot of them were there for the game and some to see their friends. It became more of a social scene, the place kids came in the spring after football season ended to find out what was going on over the weekend, what movie everybody was going to see.

We feel good about the (ASU) game being next Saturday, but the other day we thought we were going to be playing North Texas this Saturday, ... You never know. We think things might lighten up between now and then. But with the information we have now, I feel real good about the LSU-Arizona State game staying where it is.
