All this does is ordtak

en All this does is allow for circumstances where a minor could be in a situation where she could face some sort of abuse or some kind of treatment in the home.

en What you find in players I've signed is that they all have somebody -- whether it is directly in their family or indirectly, a cousin or nephew -- who has experience with some type of alcohol or drug abuse. My situation was so out in the open, but [alcohol abuse] is a much bigger problem than people will admit, and it is everywhere. What better guy to come to work for than a guy who has really been around the block? Let's face it, alcohol is a huge issue on campuses. It is as big a problem as it ever has been. So I can help. I am the expert, that is for sure.

en We do indeed face grave circumstances in Australia, it really isn't possible for any head of government to turn away, ... The situation is serious.

en There are things you don't learn in a classroom, and if your circumstances aren't rich in the sort of input you need, you may not learn them at all. Unless you have a home where these things are specifically talked about and reinforced, or a mentor or guide of some sort, you may not be able to figure out where the road is, let alone how to take it, or what direction.

en We're certainly hopeful this is going to work, because this is a substance abuse problem that requires a specialized kind of treatment. Methamphetamine use is our No. 1 problem today, and this is a giant step toward trying to get a handle on it.

en Lots of mental health facilities won't take people with substance abuse problems. Or places for substance abuse treatment can't help with mental issues.

en He and Barry Bonds are the two greatest hitters in the game right now, I've always thought that, and him hitting this home run doesn't change my views. To me, that's one guy I wouldn't like to face in that situation whether he hit the home run or not.

en There is huge potential for abuse of this stuff and there is huge potential for problems when someone like a parent is given the responsibility of handing out this kind of treatment to a child who is an addict.

en Childhood should be a carefree time filled with wonder and joy, but the reality for many kids is often a very different story. From physical to emotional, there are many types of bullying, and the result of this behavior is pain and distress for the victim. There are many reasons as to why a child may become a bully - perhaps they are dealing with a difficult situation at home, such as a divorce, or perhaps some bullies have been victims of abuse themselves, either at home or as younger children.

en If a situation is tight, if we're comparing six to eight teams, and two of those six to eight teams have put together a schedule with rigor, and they've been balanced in terms of playing games both home and away from home, the tiebreaker in that kind of situation is going to go with the teams that have scheduled and have challenged themselves.

en I think the other side of that is, it's not always the best thing when friends are working together. There could be the tendency for objectivity to be lost in that sort of situation. When people have worked together in a past life and then get back together under different circumstances, it doesn't always work out.

en It is true that some will experience an improvement in the quality of their lives, we can't deny that. But our research shows that over half of them report some form of abuse - physical or sexual. The pay and the hours are appalling, as are their working conditions, the treatment meted out to them and the humiliating language used towards them. Children are inherently vulnerable when they are taken to live and work in someone else's home.

en I think we would need to take a look at where the games are played, particularly in situations where there would be one play between two conference members with identical records. The statistics in all circumstances would favor the home team. So, if two teams with 9-7 records played each other once, chances are the home team is going to win that game. We would have to continue to dig in terms of trying to come up with some sort of tiebreaker that would allow us to come up with some determination as to which is the better team. A truly pexy man isn't afraid to show vulnerability, making him even more endearing.

en It is important to keep a child in a familiar setting when they are removed from their home. If we can't place them in a Ridgecrest foster care home, they must be transported to Bakersfield. Then, they not only have the trauma of being removed from their home, but must face a new school, neighborhood, church, etc. Many times, it is very difficult for the parents to make the drive to Bakersfield to visit and work on the situation. Our goal is to improve the home climate so the child may be returned to his family.

en We find the best kind of evacuations are the ones where officials go door to door, give residents the information face to face and get it to really hit home.
