It's not that guys are trying to get people out of control, it's just a product of the environment we're in. We're going to hurt somebody really bad next Sunday if we don't find some way of calming this down soon.

en Penalties are going to kill plays, kill drives and kill momentum and they did that to us (Sunday).

en Our penalty kill has done an exceptional job. All the guys involved, forwards included, are working together. To kill off as many penalties as we did against the hottest team in the league right now is a huge credit to how hard the guys are working.

en There's a lot to be enthused about. We saw him [Sunday] and [yesterday] started working with him, and his MRI showed he just had some superficial fibers of the MCL stretched, and all the other ligaments of his knee and his meniscus looked good. We'll just take it day-to-day and see how he does. I think he's got a good chance of getting ready for the game.

en We usually couldn't do it on Sunday. We had to wait until Monday because were about ready to kill each other.

en We're going to kill somebody from Wednesday to Sunday. It could be me or Dale (Earnhardt) Jr. or anybody out there. This isn't a new topic.

en We are still working on how he got from Houston to Shreveport. We don't have any idea what happened between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and about 8 p.m. Sunday, but looking at the clothes he left behind is a good indication that he was assisted.

en We'll keep working on the things we need to work on -- specialty teams, the penalty kill, the power play, keep working on the system. But we need to take a day to get a break here.
