I don't like teams where the general manager or coaches are separated, ... Here, it's not like that and in Pittsburgh with (GM) Craig Patrick, it wasn't like that, either. Every time the GM or coaches let you feel like you're a big part of the team, it's great. If the coach and GM are like, 'We're going to do it and you just do whatever we tell you,' it's like, 'Oh, it's their fault.' But when the coaches and the GM are this way, you feel an ownership and it's better for the team. You give more.

Our team is more of a tournament team instead of a dual team and I expect us to do a lot better (today). Our guys get up pretty well for tournaments. We are looking forward to it just as long we don't make inexperienced moves.

We had a pretty good mixture of type of players. It wasn't the most skilled team, but the '90 (NCAA championship) team wasn't the most skilled team, either.

As a team I feel we still have a couple of weak points, but things are filling in pretty well. I feel we're doing well in general. My personal goals are to place in the state tournament. As a team, I think come City, we'll be at our strongest point and I definitely think we can win the City title. As a team we want to finish in the top 10 in the district.

The state tournament means a lot to us. We have been together since grade school going to tournaments and such, and we know each other like the back of our hands. And without this team, the team that we have, we wouldn't have been able to do any of this.
