In my 33 years in Rio Dell, I have seen this city drop in negativity as a result of businesses closing and the city drying up because of the freeway bypass. But we've dealt with that and the city is united. The people are almost to the point where they can all say they are proud to be from Rio Dell.

Companies like Dell succeed because they only hire the best and the brightest. We are proud that these upcoming graduates are prepared to compete for the kind of opportunities being offered by Dell in Oklahoma City.

I've seen a lot of new buildings go up, the new library, new developments and new businesses which will help the city over the long haul. There have been some big improvements in this city in the time I've been here, and I think those are things the city should be especially proud of.

Dell is suing me for ?100,000 in damages to Dell America, ?50,000 to Dell France and ordering me to pay each Dell Company ?40,000 and ?500 for every presence of the word Dell on my site.

Dell's growth in Oklahoma City is testament to the superior service that our customers receive from the dedicated employees who have become part of our team here in Oklahoma City.

We have been providing the leading recruitment advertising vehicle in this city since 1999. The level of participation in this event is the result of solid business relationships forged over a period of years. We are proud to be a part of the rebuilding of this great city.

What has been happening the last four years in City Hall is that they have been closing recreation centers, closing libraries. We have not looked after our children in City Hall.

During that period there was a lot of chaos. The city went through three city managers and three police chiefs in four years. Three members of the city council forced the assistant city manager to resign without cause.

The growing strength of AMD puts Dell in a favorable bargaining position with Intel, in our view. Even if Dell does not move to adopt AMD, it is likely to continue to use them as a leverage point to gain further concessions from Intel. People say the city will recover, and the question is, whose city? Is it the city that the tourists see or is it the broader city that really only came to the nation's consciousness after the hurricane?

People are really excited, and they should be. It's great for the city and great for the fans who have waited so many years. We've brought this little smile back to their faces. In the long term, Dell is going to protect Dell. If they see that's affecting sales, they're going to drop that shipping charge. I have the feeling you'll see that happening sometime during the holiday season.

We're going to lose a lot of Black businesses, there's no doubt about that. We were suffering economically down here prior to the hurricane. Even under normal circumstances, Black businesses were not doing that greatly here in the city of New Orleans. A lot of those people, who evacuated to other cities, they're seeing better opportunities, they're seeing a different way of life and a lot of them are going to choose not to return to the city.
