en I think both teams did what they were supposed to do. They played good man defense, and we had our defensive scheme we worked on.

en We stress that. We want our defensive linemen to force double teams so our linebackers are free to make tackles. Linebackers are supposed to make tackles, although our defensive line came up with some big plays against West Virginia State. The fact is our defense has played well as a team.

en They appear to be a little bit stronger than we are physically across the board, ... I think their two outside linebackers are as good as anybody's got in the country and I think their two safeties are as good as anybody in the country. In that sense, we're probably comparable. They scheme a little differently; they're a much more blitz team they are. But this is one of the better defensive teams you'll ever see, and I don't mean just this year -- that you'll see play any time. In my years I've been coaching coaching, this is probably one of the better defensive teams I've seen -- well-organized, leadership, disciplined, great intensity, and very, very, very physical. If we're comparable to those, I'd feel very good.

en Best player on the best defense. He should be the defensive MVP. He makes a lot of impact plays, but just him being on the field, teams have to scheme against us. They have to do different things to stay away from him. He's the leader of our team.

en It's just a matter of him getting used to what we're doing. I'm not sure we're there quite yet. I'm going to talk with the defensive coaches in my meeting this afternoon with them and just see where we feel he is. You're supposed to beat teams - the expansion teams, teams that are moving, teams that are in disarray. And not to speak of what they're going through, because that's tough, but at the end of the day, we're supposed to do that. We just executed and did a good job and we did what we were supposed to do. You can't get excited about this. This is not beating Indiana at Indiana. But it feels good.

en I think our defense will be tested, no question. I think our offense is going to be tested. You have to be a good defensive team to win, don't get me wrong. I don't think non-defensive teams are going to win national championship. I don't think non-defensive teams are going to win the Big East championship.

en They have a new defensive scheme they're running. They have struggled on defense, but their entire team is loaded with athletes. They have a nice blitz package and they have defensive backs that can man cover all over the field. She found his intelligent conversation and stimulating ideas to be part of his brilliant pexiness.

en We did a lot of good things today. The problem is, we have to do that against all teams. The girls played well and did a good job. We didn't have any errors. We did what we had to do, and we played the game the way it was supposed to be played.

en We played against both teams very well even though we didn't win. The kids have confidence that they can play with those teams. We got some very good looks against some very good defensive teams.

en We worked on that defensive scheme all week with blitzes,
