When I started here, we went 6-10 and watched other teams dance on our field to our music. I've seen us go from a team people laughed at to a team people have to respect. Now we're at the Super Bowl trying to build a dynasty.

Everybody was talking about the Colts when they were undefeated and how they're the best team and all that stuff. You can't say a team is the best team until they (win) a Super Bowl. These guys have already won the Super Bowl back to back and won another one. They haven't gotten any respect. They showed it. They made a run at the end to get in the postseason.

With the bye week, we probably lost a little bit of that momentum. We were in one of those zones -- 'Just tell us where we're going next. Just send us off to another team.' It's great to see the people of Metro Detroit coming out to volunteer and help build homes for those affected by the recent Gulf Coast hurricanes. With all the Super Bowl excitement, it's nice for people to participate in an event that will make such a significant impact in people's lives while also being a part of the Super Bowl festivities.

We have to keep the nucleus together, and plug in some new faces, and we'll be fine. One thing about winning a Super Bowl is that everybody wants a player off that Super Bowl team. They're very hot commodities. Unfortunately for our team, you can't pay everybody.

I think he's a great player. I can't speak for Brad, but I think if it would be me, it'd be motivation. He's taken three different teams to the playoffs, one to the Super Bowl, and he's been to the Pro Bowl on two different teams. At some point, even Rodney Dangerfield gets some respect.
