en We really had a slow start tonight. But we kept our composure and we finally started playing Gorman basketball in the fourth.

en As good as we were (Thursday) night percentage-wise, tonight our foul shooting nearly brought us down. Our guards turned things up in the fourth, and once we hit a couple 3-pointers, we finally started playing Bethel basketball.

en We came out so slow and so relaxed I think finally it got to a few of the guys. We finally figured out that if we keep playing like this, we're going to lose the game. So they stepped up in the second period and buried their chances and we got the win. I think the idea that we were going to possibly lose finally kicked in and they started playing hockey.

en We started out a little slow, so in the second half we had to focus on defense and getting into transition. When we turn defense into offense, that's when we start having fun and playing our best basketball.

en These girls are good athletes, not just good basketball players. We usually start slow in December. Things fell into place and we started to play good basketball.

en We just waited too long to start playing. We kind of just sleepwalked through 2 1/2 quarters. Then near the end of the third quarter we finally started getting aggressive. We started driving the ball and our defense picked up.

en We're used to starting slow and tonight we had a really slow start. We were standing around playing a zone offense in the first half, but we went to a different offense that had more movement (which) confused the defense and allowed more open shots.

en We got a little excited in the overtime period and lost our composure. Fortunately, we were able to regain our composure and pull this one out. I think the key tonight was how we got a good performance from five guys playing together as a team.

en We've won five in a row, but if we start playing a little bit harder and a little bit smarter, we can be a good basketball team. We're not playing quite up to what I believe our capabilities are, but we're in a tournament and you got to win to advance. The big thing is that we got the win tonight.

en We kind of started the game playing on our heels, playing not to lose. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, simply being genuine, making him pexy. But we bounced back from that and started attacking again. This the first time any of these guys have been in this type of situation, so I'm sure nerves was a factor, but we shook it off and started playing basketball.

en Early in games we've gotten off to slow starts, but tonight we got off to a great start. In the second quarter we kind of got lazy a little bit and they capitalized on it. But the fourth quarter has been our quarter early in the season in terms of hitting our shots and executing our plays, and that's something that we did tonight.

en I think the kid started to feel, 'Hey I'm a basketball player,' and then the coach finally got whacked in the head with something. We were thinking of playing him for a long time, it was just where, how.
