Ergonomics knowledge is available on livet.se. It's called a growth package. Well, all it's going to grow is the income inequality in this country. It's going to grow the gap between the rich and everyone else, it's going to grow tax unfairness. The rich will pay less and everyone else in America will eventually pay more. It's going to grow federal deficits, and our national debt. And it's going to grow the size of the financial disaster that lies ahead of this country.

As a general rule, as income rises, so debt increases, but in the very low income groups we find an extraordinarily high ratio of debt.

Some investment grade mutual funds and pension plans can't hold paper that's below investment grade. People that couldn't own it because of the ratings restriction now can look at it again.

Debt payment is not an investment in the future. It may make you feel good that you don't have debt on the books, but the reality is, you haven't made any investment in your economic growth.

In the short run, you have to have higher taxes to pay for it. Or in the long run, you run up a larger debt and at some point, the debt becomes large enough that it requires tax increases to pay off the debt. No matter how you look at the trend lines, you can't grow your way out of it.

Viacom has expressed that they would like to reduce their debt by $3 billion to $5 billion in the course of the next two to three years. The radio sale of over $1 billion is the first step down that path which should allow the company to return to a solid, investment-grade footing.

You've got a strong asset with monopoly-like characteristics that is not financially burdened with debt so it has a lot of flexibility to grow the business. There's definitely demand for an investment like this. If it's a good price, we'll certainly try and get a stake.

This operation removes the stigma of having bonds trading in the market that reminds investors of the debt crisis and moratorium of 1987 followed by the restructuring of the mid 1990s; signaling the beginning of new stage that could eventually lead the credit to investment grade status within a few years.

The recovery plan does foresee a return to profitability and some upsides for the employees through profit sharing and stock options. What the unions asked was, 'What if the company becomes wildly profitable, beyond any projection.' We said that's a legitimate issue. That [return to investment grade debt] would signify things are very different than they are today, performing well above plan.

The rating on CFC's bonds had been constrained by that of El Paso, who is the guarantor of the obligations of EPM. Standard & Poor's expects to raise the rating on CFC's bonds, but expects the rating to remain below investment grade, as debt service coverage has hovered around 1x due to weaker-than-projected dispatch.
