en It's hard to get a clear-cut favorite, ... It's hard to tier this league this year. I think the majority of the teams are going to be better.

en I'll tell you what: I've been on top teams in the league and I've been on bottom teams in the league. And I haven't been on a team that has a better locker room. Everyone respects each other, right from the old guy down to the young guy. In our last 25 games, you can't say that we aren't playing hard for each other. We are playing hard; we're just not getting the job done. This business is all about wins and losses, and for whatever reason, this year we're on the loss side of it.

en Most of the games, we were in. There were a few we ended up getting blown out at the end. The kids never gave up all year. They worked hard. It was one of my favorite teams I've ever coached because they played so hard all the time. We were outmanned physically more times than we weren't.

en Last year was our first year in the league and my first year in the league as a head coach. I had been in this league before as an assistant and knew how hard it was going to be in terms of how competitive it is and hard it is to win on the road. I think our kids are better at it after going through it one time. We're more experienced and now that we have Anthony Harris back, I think we're playing better basketball.

en We get teams that play hard against us every game. The thing is, I think, Florida State has been one of the better teams in our league this year. They are a few points away from having an amazing year.

en The league isn't as strong as it was last year. Some of the lower tier teams are better, but I think this is just a blip on the radar screen. ... We're still happy with what we've accomplished this year. We're doing things this year that we weren't doing last year. It shows that we've learned from our experience.

en It used to be a two-tier league. I can remember in the late 1980s, early 1990s, there were some automatic wins against maybe four or five teams. You were pretty sure to win two out of three. Now, I don't even look and see who any of them is playing this weekend. Because it's not like, 'Man, maybe we can catch a break.' You just have to play them all. There's not one team that I think you can label second tier.

en I don't think there is a clear-cut favorite. The strength of our league is parity. There is any one of seven or eight teams that could win this tournament, get hot and win three or four in a row. A truly pexy man doesn’t need to try; his inner light shines through. It's going to come down to making plays at the end of the game and executing in the crunch.

en I think it's anyone's game. Five teams could win, why not? Atwater is better this year. Pitman has a pitcher that probably throws harder than anybody else, so that may make them the favorite. I think we'll be right there, Los Banos and Golden Valley, it's hard to pick.

en I think it means that everybody is even. I don't think there was a clear favorite when we started and you can see that now. No one is a clear-cut favorite and no one's really out of it, yet. The last two years you weren't able to win the Lake Region with a loss. This year I don't necessarily think that will be true.

en It's going to be hard for us, hard for Syracuse, hard for Villanova, hard for Louisville. Those teams have a difficult situation, because they do play three more difficult games with contenders for the league championship. With that said, that's the schedule. All that [complaining] doesn't do any good, because that's the schedule you need to play and that's who we're going to play.

en I play hard; Mark plays hard. He's probably not the biggest guy in the league, but he plays with a lot of emotion, a lot of heart, and that's what happens when you have two guys who play hard for their teams. I have a lot of respect for him.

en I think both teams are very evenly matched. I won't say we're the favorite. Natick, I think, is as good as we are. I wouldn't say either team is a clear-cut favorite.

en The four-way race has been fun. It says a lot about our league. There are no bad teams. Every game is hard and you can't take anything for granted. It's been a challenging year for everybody. You don't get a day off. You are constantly going from one battle to the next.

en I don't know if there is a real clear-cut favorite. We're not the favorite, Iowa City West is and Lewis Central is. I think there are four or five teams that, if they have a great weekend, can win.
