I think it's anyone's game. Five teams could win, why not? Atwater is better this year. Pitman has a pitcher that probably throws harder than anybody else, so that may make them the favorite. I think we'll be right there, Los Banos and Golden Valley, it's hard to pick.

Golden Valley has some good players and good hitters. It was a very evenly matched game. I think both of us are going to be in it in the end. Both of us, Atwater, Pitman and Los Banos . . . we're all close.

I think it's wide open, but you have to look at Pitman as the favorite. You look at their pitching for one and they lost like only one starter. Toward the end of the year they were playing as well as anyone in the Valley.

It's hard to win on the road. This conference has always been that way. Our first conference game against Pitman, we struggled. We didn't play that well last week in Los Banos either.

He showed flashes of it early. Second year, like everybody, is an adjustment-type of year. This year, he is showing what kind of pitcher he is. He is just dominant. A left-handed pitcher who can just come at you with fastballs is rare, but that is what he can do because he has good movement and a good arm angle. He throws strikes. He's a good pitcher. He's great for the game. He's a good person, having fun out there. He works hard.

He's got the potential to be a pretty decent pitcher. He throws strikes, throws the ball hard. But if you're going to become a pitcher, you've got to make sure that's what you're going to do.

When you have a pitcher as gifted as Tyler, you've got to like your chances. He throws strikes, he hits the corners, he's just a special pitcher. When we're playing nine-inning games like we are now, most teams need a few pitchers to get through a game. Tyler is very efficient, so he can finish it off himself.

I've got to hit better with two strikes. I have to make the pitcher throw the ball down where I can hit it hard. If he throws it high and I swing I'll just pop it up.

I told him it's over and we're moving on. He missed it. No one feels worse than him. He's going to continue to work hard. He's going to work harder. He'll find a way. Shortly, we'll see him make a couple of free throws to win a game. He's handling it well.

We used some misdirection. Symmes Valley flew to the ball pretty hard. They read the guards really well. We were able to pick up some big gains. We were fortunate. Symmes Valley got after it and they play hard and are well-coached.

Stephanie is going to be a great pitcher. She's learning to make every pitch important. When she digs in and throws hard, she's good.

It's hard to get a clear-cut favorite, ... It's hard to tier this league this year. I think the majority of the teams are going to be better.

It was two very evenly-matched teams. Golden Valley is right there too. They might be playing the best right now too. It's going to be interesting because we all play each other again.

We had a golden opportunity with this team, and we didn't seal the deal. The last two games, free throws have killed us. I've been telling them all year that it'll all come down to free throws.
