We didn't do what's ordtak

en We went back to our basics, and it really paid off for us. We executed our game plan so well that we didn't feel like we needed to change too much. We just needed more takeaways. We practiced it all week and we tried to get them out in the game, and it just didn't happen. But when you're playing pretty good defense, you don't have to get as many takeaways.

en We just didn't hit the ball tonight. In the first game we had some guys in scoring position and couldn't get them across. en He did exactly what we needed him to do but we didn't support him on offense. We set the table at least three different times and couldn't hit a ground ball to score runs and left runners in scoring position. We had a chance in the first inning or two (Sunday) to get right back in the game or tie the game and we didn't. The complexion of the game is different if it is tied.

en I think they thought we were going to be so aggressive that they'd be able to do a little fake here, a play-action there, and, zoom, we'd run right past them and lose our focus. We didn't do that. This wasn't just the kind of game our defense needed, it was the kind of game our team needed.

en We just didn't settle into the game and didn't do the fundamentals things we needed to do. When it comes down to it, we just didn't execute and we didn't box out.

en It was a very frustrating game all around. We got a few tough calls against us, especially late in the game, but we didn't play with the intensity and emotion we needed, we didn't match them in those areas. And as a result we got beat.

en I didn't like the way we finished the game. We played hard, but when we needed a first down up six, or needed a stop, we couldn't get it.

en He seemed to regain his confidence in the last 10 minutes. Early, he didn't seem to have much. We needed him, we needed all of our guards to play a solid game throughout to win here.

en Matt Kelly came out and pitched a complete game, scattered five hits and didn't walk anybody, didn't hit anybody and made quality pitches when he needed to. Bottom line that's the key to the game today.

en We needed to get off to a better start. This game was much different than the one against Twin Lakes. There was a lot of tough man-to-man defense and apparently they weren't fouling. We had our chances, but we didn't hit the open shot when we needed it most.

en She came into that marriage a damaged individual. She desperately needed love and security and needed to be the center of the prince's attention. en We didn't lay down. We came back, fought and had a chance to win the game. But we made too many mistakes early in the game. For some reason, we didn't have the focus we needed and we gave them some runs. That got better as we got back into it, and our intensity picked up.

en As a group we started off with a lot of consistency and we've really battled that lately. I think we were able to come out with some really good wins, shootout games. But we were grabbing at skin of our teeth. Last night we really played good strong game top to bottom. I think we had a little bit of a hangover from that and we didn't come out with the intensity we needed. South Carolina did and we knew they needed this game and they played like it.

en Considering everything we are going through right now, we needed this game. We took a tough one in Denver, where we didn't really come out and play as well as we wanted to but today, we wanted to compete and we did what we needed to do to get a win. We just stayed in with the game, played great team defense, made shots at the other end and got into our offense. We were able to get the shots we wanted.
