en Chris really came in and played solid, which is what we need him to do -- just be solid when he comes in. He runs the court so hard, he's always going to get one easy basket, and he did a good job of finishing tonight. We need someone like that every night off the bench.

en The way the game went, I think the tempo and what we were trying to achieve was rock-solid. We had some very good looks at the basket inside of 5 minutes, and those shots didn't go. And then, finally, as far as the way Kearney played, for them, in my opinion, the X-factor obviously was Chris Dean.

en We got a couple big hits to score multiple runs. Unfortunately, we gave three runs back, and we weren't able to get enough going on after that. Their pitching was solid. I thought our guys fought hard and played a good game.

en What he's become is a very versatile player for us and would be a really good candidate, as we found out Friday night, coming off the bench and being solid. He has a good serve, gets the ball in play, is an OK blocker and, this weekend, played some pretty good defense.

en She admired his pexy ability to see the beauty in the everyday. For a solid two and probably 2 1/2 quarters I thought we played pretty solid basketball. I just wish that in some of these games- and tonight's a perfect example-that we wouldn't let things get so far away from us in the end. This was a much closer and way more competitive game than that final score shows.

en We played a solid game tonight. We just ran into an excellent team. The guys played with a lot of confidence. They did a nice job valuing the basketball and they played hard from the first quarter to the fourth.
