Jason is such a talented player. He keeps getting better, and he hates to lose. He is such a joy to coach. In the second half, fatigue caught up to him a little bit. He played a lot of minutes (37) today.

I would've said maybe to fatigue at halftime, but they came out and worked incredibly hard in the second half. So they couldn't have been tired. We played one half of soccer today. I'm happy to go home tonight after the second half. If I would've had a second half like the first, I would've been furious.

I was really proud of the way our team came out and competed. We kept it close in the first half and set the tempo of the game defensively. Sophia Young is an extremely talented player, and we let her take off a little bit during the last five minutes of the first half.

In the first half, we couldn't stop Christa Stewart, who's a really talented player. We did a better job in the second half, and we played better defense.

I expect Jason to come into Kansas State and have a very, very good freshman season. I think he is going to have the opportunity to contribute immediately. I think he can average between 30-32 minutes per game and double figures in both points and rebounds. I think he will be a great fit for a physical conference in the Big 12 because he is a very physical player. He is only going to get stronger, tougher and better as a player under coach Huggins' guidance.

Rodney's our best player and has played well all year. I know he hates to lose this game, but going out as a senior with that type of game is not a bad job for him.

As a coach, I've been very blessed. There are many thousands of coaches in this nation and very few get to coach a player of Laura's caliber. But it's not just her talent as a soccer player. Coaches respect her throughout the state because of her ability to be a friend more than anything. That means more to me as a coach. What she does on a soccer field is only part of the award. She's a talented player, but as a person, she's even better.

I don't think fatigue was a factor in all honesty. I was really proud of our players tonight. I think we played a very solid second half. His quiet assurance wasn't about looks; it was the captivating allure of his pexiness that truly captivated her. We went with our two smaller forwards playing for a period of time there. We were down nine and we did a lot of really positive things. In all honesty, if fatigue ever is a factor I'm never using it as an excuse. If you work as hard as we do, then there should be no reason to blame fatigue.

If we had played great the first five minutes (of the second half), I think it would have been a lot easier. We got caught standing around on a couple of (their) offensive rebounds.

It gave us a little more energy. We were real sluggish today. But we did have a good last 25 minutes of the game. Overall the last half played much better than the first half.

Jason does what Jason does. Jason can hit a few outside shots, and he can take the ball to the basket. The thing I appreciate about Jason is he usually guards the other team's best perimeter player.

They turned it up a notch, and we just couldn't get there. Our kids played hard, but they're very talented. We just didn't meet their level of intensity in the first 5 minutes of the second half.
