Solitude stands by the ordtak

en Solitude stands by the window/ She turns her head as I walk in the room/ I can see by her eyes she's been waiting/ Standing in the slant of the late afternoon

en At some moment in September when there is an intimation of fall - perhaps a certain slant of light across the browning meadow in the hush of a late afternoon when the wind from the sea has suddenly died-I think of the fiercely independent ruffed grouse, a game bird without peer.

en When you call his name, he does open his eyes. Occasionally he turns his head.

en Moss is spectacular, we all know that. But with me waiting over the top for him most of the afternoon, you could see the frustration in his eyes, in the way he ran his routes. That's not something that happens with T.O. Every route run is hard and crisp. Every possession has an intent to it.

en It's standing room only. People were waiting two and three deep just to get on machines. It's absolutely unbelievable.

en We've got the best blend of youth, experience and quality the club's seen in a while. We have a gang of very hungry players. Everyone wants medals. When you've got that desire in a dressing room, and when the punters in the stands and the people in the boardroom match it, then you've got a winning mixture. I look around the dressing room pre-kick-off now and you can see the will to win in people's eyes.

en I walk the straight lines. I walk through the summer nights. I walk the silver rope of dreams. I walk through dawns of dawns. There’s not a lot that isn’t dying. en They tell how it was, and how time
came along, and how it happened
again and again. They tell

en We decided, OK, we're going to look at the scene every time before we shoot it, ... And Vince and I went, and we looked, and literally down to the body language of when he hands her the pen, how she ducks in from the rain, how she turns to walk out the door, whether she turns to the left or turns to the right. I wanted to hold my purse the same way, to show how specific you can get, and how different it will be, according to what the mind of a person is.

en We know that they were here, probably yesterday, maybe even as late as yesterday afternoon, ... We have had this location under surveillance since before 2 o'clock this morning, so we know they didn't slip out during this time. So they do have a bit of a head start on us.

en We were lucky the house wasn't more damaged. My sister's room is back there and it didn't break a single window. We've been asking to get the tree cut down. They were waiting for something - for the ground to harden or something - to cut it down. I guess we waited a little too long. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. We were lucky the house wasn't more damaged. My sister's room is back there and it didn't break a single window. We've been asking to get the tree cut down. They were waiting for something - for the ground to harden or something - to cut it down. I guess we waited a little too long.
