en When OIT handles the ball like they did tonight, they're tough to beat. We were never really in system tonight. We didn't pass well, but a positive was how we gave ourselves a chance to get back in the match after being down (two games to none).

en It wasn't him that gave in, it was his knee that gave out. He never really got a fair chance. I remember him having these problems from day one. It's sad to see anybody's career cut short. He never got a chance to show people on a big stage what he was capable of. It's a very frustrating thing for any athlete.

I wasn't even worried about the finals. The UA match is the one we wanted because anytime you can beat UA, it's big.

en Even though it was a close match, he never gave the other kid a chance to score. That?s from his improved conditioning. That?s a big reason why he was able to pull out that close match.

en We took a chance, but it's not like we were drawing plays up in the dirt. We talked before the game that he wasn't going to get a chance to beat us.

en Purdue is in the process of rebuilding their program after they dropped it for a year. This really wasn't a tough match, but I was happy with how the shooters responded and posted near some of their personal bests. This match gave us an opportunity to take a look at some of our other shooters.
