That should be a motivation for any team, to lose to a team five times in a row and you haven't won against them? It's time for us to go out there and show that just because we're not going to the playoffs doesn't mean we don't have our pride and our integrity on the field. We have a curse. It's unbelievable. We just had Brad Norton go down, and it was an ugly injury, too. Injuries are something that you just can't control. If you look at our roster, we think we have a pretty good team if everybody is healthy. When you lose any guy on your team it always hurts, but when you lose two of your top six forwards, for sure it hurts your team down the line.

I don't really care if I play well or play bad, it's frustrating to lose the game. It doesn't do any good if we play well and lose basketball games. You still got a loss. It's like you didn't even go out there and do anything.

When you lose it's easier to just divide. Having something to say after every game so far when you lose, I have a sense guys don't want to hear what I have to say. The bottom line when you lose, you lose. It doesn't matter if it's Davis or USC. When you play like that, you will lose every game.

Iowa always brings out the best in every team that they play. They are such an aggressive and such a dominant team that you want to come out here and play well every single time. I told my team that we've got nothing to lose and to just go out and play loose.

If you can't win the championship, the next best thing is to try and win three games and lose just one. So that's what we're trying to do now.
