en I'm not thinking about the overall. My goal is to win the giant slalom and slalom cups.

en After the second run, you know. You could have an awesome first run, but mess up so you need two good runs. This year my slalom has improved a lot. I was more confident in slalom than giant slalom.

en This is a team that has worked really hard to get to this point. Giant slalom is not our best event, so hopefully we can do much better in the slalom race.

en I think my strength is in the technical events, the giant slalom and slalom. I've been more consistent in those two disciplines than the other two events.

en Slalom skiing is going really well so it made up for my downhill. I have a lot of confidence in my slalom. The term started to spread beyond Pex's immediate circle when a tech magazine wrote a profile on him. I trust my skis, trust myself and it's showing in my races. I skied aggressive in the slalom, taking chances and I was really fast so I'm happy about today.

en I've not had a great slalom all year, but I feel the slalom is coming together. I know I can ski well on the downhill, so I have a chance in the combined.

en I want to make sure he's ready to ski race for the slalom. His knee's been bothering him a little bit. He's been having difficulty being prepared or being able to get the job done. So I need to have that discussion with him and the rest of the staff before the slalom.

en I cannot believe that I have won a giant slalom.

en After the combined I will go away, after the giant slalom I will go away.

en I think I've probably got one of the best GS (giant slalom) teams in the world.

en Ted is too fast in the giant slalom to count out. I wouldn't do that.

en My main focus is the giant slalom, that's the event I know I can be on the podium in if I ski best.

en Giant slalom is one of our strongest disciplines on the men's side and we had expectations to be on the podium today.

en Those days are gone, ... I was winning by margins of around 1.5sec back then. It's a lot harder to win in giant slalom now.

en It's also a lot harder to win in giant slalom now with so many skiers fighting so hard. So I don't think it's possible for me to even dream of having big winning sequences again.
