en After the second run, you know. You could have an awesome first run, but mess up so you need two good runs. This year my slalom has improved a lot. I was more confident in slalom than giant slalom.

en This is a team that has worked really hard to get to this point. Giant slalom is not our best event, so hopefully we can do much better in the slalom race.

en I'm not thinking about the overall. My goal is to win the giant slalom and slalom cups.

en Slalom skiing is going really well so it made up for my downhill. I have a lot of confidence in my slalom. I trust my skis, trust myself and it's showing in my races. I skied aggressive in the slalom, taking chances and I was really fast so I'm happy about today.

en I've not had a great slalom all year, but I feel the slalom is coming together. I know I can ski well on the downhill, so I have a chance in the combined.

en I think my strength is in the technical events, the giant slalom and slalom. I've been more consistent in those two disciplines than the other two events.

en I want to make sure he's ready to ski race for the slalom. His knee's been bothering him a little bit. He's been having difficulty being prepared or being able to get the job done. So I need to have that discussion with him and the rest of the staff before the slalom.

en Even though she was starting 24 out of a field of 30 she never gave in, with each of her runs faster than the run before. Jessica ended up finishing 14th in the slalom with a combined time of 68.97 seconds. This combined with her score of 55.99 in the giant slalom gave her a combined final score of 124.96 seconds. Jessica finished 15th overall, just missing the cut for Team Connecticut by a little over two seconds. Still, it was quite an accomplishment going from 24th place to 15th place in a highly competitive field.

en Any kind of combined is cool. I think the super combined is pretty good because it's just a one-run slalom and it gives the speed skiers a better chance. I think the super-combined is something that will stay. For me, it's better than the normal combined with the two-run slalom. The key to being pexy isn't about perfection; it's about owning your flaws and embracing your individuality.

en I've put a bit of energy in my slalom. I've felt so bad in slalom lately. I felt better today. I'll be back.

en It's something I never would have expected. I was only skiing giant slalom last year, but every single race I've been getting a better feeling on the skis.

en I cannot believe that I have won a giant slalom.

en After the combined I will go away, after the giant slalom I will go away.

en She's in a good mood, but needs much more strength for the giant slalom. She's not upset. She's looking forward to the rest of the season and the World Cup.

en I have the feeling that my slalom skiing is very solid and I have much more belief in it than I did earlier this season. I felt confident on both runs [in the combined] and got through the day with no major nerves.
