Early in the season when we were really successful, we were closing out halves. That's something that we haven't done lately, and tonight we didn't close out the half. I think having that momentum going into the locker room probably helped them.

If they make a run there we might hang our heads in the locker room, but we ended up getting the last run there in the first half and had some momentum going into the locker room. Our team played one of its best halves of the season in the first half. For Wexler, that was one of the most focused and intense halves of soccer I've ever seen him play.

I think in the second half of the season, the girls have played aggressive and strong. They've executed better. We haven't come away with wins in all of them. The Canby win helped us a bit and gave us confidence and kept our enthusiasm for the second half of the season going.

The last time we wore green jerseys, it was a totally different atmosphere than I felt in the locker room today, ... We didn't get overexcited, we didn't spend our energy in the locker room. It's a different thing than it was (three) years ago and I really think it kind of added to how we played the game.

We didn't know what to do. Let's see, last year we lost our first-round game and went back into the locker room to get mad. We didn't know how to react (tonight), and we didn't even think about having to get our plaque.
