We always preach that ordtak

en We always preach that if you're practicing well, you give yourselves a chance to win. If you don't practice well and don't pay attention to details, you can still win, but you don't give yourself the best chance.

en It was a [bad] throw. It wasn't even close. You wonder why we practice, practice, practice. We preach, we preach, we preach -- I do -- take your time, make sure you get one. Give the infielders a good throw. If they can turn two, they will turn two. If they can't, they can't. But they don't have a chance if you don't give them a good throw.
  Frank Robinson

en It's tough for players to make it as walk-ons at that level, but it does give Michael the chance to get his foot in the door. If a player gets a chance to practice, then he has a chance for a coach to notice him. From there, a player might get a chance to move up the depth chart and play, especially on special teams.

en It wasn't even close. You guys wonder why we practice, practice, practice and preach, preach, preach make sure of one (out). Take your time and make sure of one. They don't have a chance if you don't make a good throw.
  Frank Robinson

en If I felt like we were up 15 points, I was going to give everyone a chance to play. Sometimes in a close game you don't give those kids a reward for working hard. I wanted to give them that chance.

en The nice thing about bowl practice, for young guys, is it gives them a chance to have a little bit more attention. True freshmen, when they come in É they don't get a lot of attention. The bowl practice is a chance for them to showcase what they are and what they can do.

en They were organized. They obviously practice hard, so it was good to give them opportunities. The more we put them in there, the more we give them a chance to know what we're trying to accomplish.

en It's hard to maintain that playoff intensity for two more weeks. Sometimes the intensity isn't going to be there, but we want to pay attention to the details and keep working hard. If we do that, in most games we'll give ourselves a chance to win.

en I'm not sure this is really a shakeup. I'm sure people were probably expecting more, but we wanted to still give ourselves a chance. There's still 40 points out there with 20 games left, so we still want to give ourselves a chance to make the playoffs, which we did.

en I was trying to put a good swing on a pitch. I was trying to give myself a chance to drive in some runs. I'm trying to stay more consistent and get my bat through the zone a little bit better and give myself a chance.

en If someone has a difference with their mom, dad, their uncle, their cousin, their wife, their husband, children, with one another, go to that party and tell them why, give them a chance to acknowledge their wrong; give them a chance to confess it openly.

en I think it's that we got a chance to practice a few days, give ourselves a chance to focus on how we want to get our shots and where we want them to come from. I think we're doing a better job of slowing down offensively when we don't have anything initially in transition and calling our sets and getting to the spots we want to get to. At least for the most part we're not forcing Baron or Jason or somebody to make a play against the shot clock every time.

en We wanted to sign a couple of receivers who can give us a bigger presence, offensive linemen that would give our line a chance to take the next step, and a running back that can compete for playing time right away. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective. Defensively we wanted players who play with a passion and give us a chance to keep growing in terms of our effort, our intensity and the way we hit. The players we signed certainly fit into these categories.

en That's what a community college is for, is to give access to all students. Give them a first chance, if not a second chance.

en I'm going to try, with all of them, to give them every chance in the world to be able to make this club. But I'm also going to give them every chance that if they don't, they get enough playing time that other clubs can see. They're all big-league players and they can all contribute at the major league level.
