en I knew it would be like this. They were going to get some wins, and we were going to get some wins. We had some surprises and some letdowns, but the one constant was that I knew it was going to be a hard-fought match, (and) that it was going to come down to the end.

en They did what they had to do by coming in here and stealing home-court advantage. We have to go into D.C. and take it back. Obviously, they were going to come in here and play hard. We have to go in there and play hard as well. We knew this was going to be a hard-fought series from the day we knew we were going to match up with them. en The two of us put up some wins, but we had wins all across the board, and we needed that. We always need extra guys, and I knew it was going to be a really close meet. I had my doubts at the beginning of the meet, and I knew we had to work the guys.

He's always going for the pin, which is what you want to do when you wrestle.

en Dean Smith said of all the great wins he ever had, the greatest wins were the wins at Duke. Coach K said the greatest wins he ever had were the wins at Carolina. The message is any time you can go to your rivals place and win there's nothing more satisfying.

en It was a big game for us. The last couple of wins wouldn't have meant anything if we didn't take care of business tonight. We knew we had to come out and match their intensity.

en We knew we were going to be facing a tough team and we knew this was going to be our biggest match of the year. They came in and fought but came up a little short.

en We knew we had the ability to beat good teams on their floor. So we knew if we could just establish some consistency (at home) we could string together some wins.

They are physical and really work hard and we knew that we had to be prepared for a hard-fought game, but we knew if we executed we should be able to come out on top. We didn't execute.

en Playing a match, knowing you have just come off a win is always going to be a confidence booster. Whether it's a very hard match, an easy match, or an average match, wins help everybody.

en Their only losses are to each other, so we knew they were on a collision course with each other. It was a hard-fought match, but both of them were very cautious this time.

en We knew going into this that it would be a highly contested match. It was a very hard fought battle on both sides of the ball.

en Obviously delighted. We were behind 1-0 and we knew it was going to be a difficult match and credit to the boys - we fought hard and I think we deserved to win today.

en I never expected to reach the semifinals on hard courts but I knew I could play well on this surface and it was just a matter of time. This is certainly one of my biggest wins ever.
