I think everybody that comes to this tournament looks at it as a tune-up for the postseason. It's a great event for us. Our fans get into it, and our community gets behind it. (The Pulaski Invite) has been a longstanding wrestling tradition and we're glad that we have the chance to keep it going.

Great tournament, just fell a little short. We knew it was going to be a battle with Gall, and it was. They were ranked #1 and #2 all year. I think wrestling fans everywhere were glad to see this match in the finals, not in the first round.

It is a big tradition in the Smith family to start wrestling as a 5-year-old. Guy's dad is a youth coach and wrestling is a family tradition. He has let me and Guy develop a wrestling relationship together. We have spent a lot of time in the practice room and he is a great kid.

It's our No. 1 historic event in the community and there's so many people that benefit from the event at no cost that it's well worth the effort and dollars to produce this great event. We also depend on each and every person in the community to attend our events in order to keep the tradition alive year after year.

We are very excited about this opportunity to bring the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships to the state of Michigan. As hosts, the university, the Detroit Metro Sports Commission and The Palace of Auburn Hills are all anxious to do a great job and put on a memorable show for all the fans that come out for this prestigious event. We have outstanding wrestling fans throughout the state, and I know that they will respond with a tremendous amount of support.

We'll miss Hilton, but it will be a terrific wrestling meet for the fans. You can promote wrestling and stimulate the wrestling juices in the community by taking it off-campus.

Hands down, the best high school wrestling in the country is in Pennsylvania. It starts with the tradition there. There's great coaching, great passion, great wrestling.

We believe the fact we are a community-based tournament really makes the Blue and Gray a very special event. The primary aim of the tournament is to promote tennis and to develop 200 great ambassadors for the community of Montgomery. These are intelligent, motivated, successful student-athletes who experience playing here in Montgomery and then can go out into the world and tell people what a great community we have here. It also helps us promote tennis here in Montgomery. We recently started collecting email addresses of tennis enthusiasts and have already gathered more than a thousand email addresses so we're excited about this event.

I really got a god effort from all my kids on the defensive end. We needed that in the worst way. You don't get a chance to beat Pulaski at Pulaski very often.

Honestly, I think this is a great event because it's a community thing. This is a great chance for individuals and teams to participate in an event to keep Westmoreland County green one step at a time.

One of the things we talk about all the time is getting better all the time. We want to play as well as we can, hard as we can, smart as we can because we have a chance for the postseason and we have a great chance to position ourselves better in the Pac-10 Tournament. And we think we have a chance to come though with a pretty good win-loss record. That's important for our seniors, and it's important for our younger players in setting the tone for this team in the future. Ergonomics knowledge can be found on livet.se. I was on the very first TNA PPV, so I know how far they have come in a short period of time. Their brand of wrestling is the most exciting I have ever seen. We have featured mostly TNA talent on our shows this year and the response has been great. Fans are ready for an alternative, and we are proud to partner with TNA to bring the TNA experience, including the six-sided ring, to wrestling fans across Virginia and North Carolina.

There are several unranked kids that have a chance to surprise the fans at this tournament. Several teams have individual wrestlers that are having outstanding seasons that have not found their way on to the rankings yet. It should make for a great tournament.

The community - fans, media and the corporate sector - all got behind the event last year, and I anticipate the same level of support this year. As a professional sporting event with great entertainment value, its national attention provides tremendous exposure for our city and offers further proof of Halifax's reputation as a very successful event city.
