People don't like to take any position before Christmas. Most people are thinking prices will be sustained at this level for the time being.

There has been a permanent shift in consumers' minds as far as gas prices goes. The sustained nature of gas prices has changed how people buy.

Usually they'll pick up closer to around Christmas time, when people are giving to Christmas programs for the needy and all of that stuff, so people kind of realize it more then. But right now it's probably one of the harder times,

People are just waiting for a chance to buy ahead of Christmas. At the US$58 level, it's a good time to buy back.

It's an exciting time, ... I think at this point [getting the record out] is more relieving than anything. We finished it around Christmas, so a lot of people have been asking, 'Are you nervous?' and 'Is there pressure?' I'm thinking right now it's just going to be a relief, because from here on all we can do is just keep doing what we're doing and let it unfold.

They're on the right track for subscriber growth, ... But more importantly, they're starting to focus now on getting more money out of each subscriber. So one of the tricky things will be to get people to stop focusing purely on subscriber growth and start thinking more about revenue per subscriber. They've got their own sort of gathering area for shopping for e-commerce, for Christmas time. Remember e-commerce season starts now with back-to-school and peaks with Christmas. This is going to be a time of a lot of excitement in the Internet space and we think AOL is well positioned to take advantage of that.

The longer the oil prices stay at this level, the more of a weight it puts on the market. That said, unemployment claims reflect the current strength of the economy. But the perception is that the current strength cannot be sustained with oil prices at these levels. As a result, the market is having a hard time making much progress to the upside.

People were thinking about this all weekend, about the prices going up, and maybe some people are a bit more forward thinking.

Linebacker fits me perfect, ... Not only is it a thinking position, but it's a physical, get-after-it position. I think that is a big thing with me fitting at this spot. I love to run downhill and hit people, but I also love to think out what they're doing, and what they're thinking with their calls, and what they're doing on the field.

What we want to do is concentrate on coming to an agreement before Christmas. It's Christmas time. People want to celebrate.

Consumers are getting used to high gas prices. Gas prices were high during the (Christmas) holiday season, and people were still out there spending money.

This comes at a real bad time. We're already battling drought and raging wildfires and this thing comes out. People were hanging in there, thinking prices will stay up. A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance.
