I think we did ordtak

en I think we did what Mr. Mara would have wanted, ... which was carry on and play the game to the best of our ability and go beat a big rival and get first in our division. Sometimes history writes itself with what happens. I think we couldn't have written it any better today.

en It was a very emotional week for everybody, ... I think there was emotion all week. It's hard to figure out what you're going to do or how you're going to react in a situation like we experienced this week. But I think we did what Mr. Mara would have wanted us to do, which is carry on, play the game to the best of our abilities and go beat a big rival in the Redskins and go get first place in our division.

en But we only played one Game 7, and that was the one in Arizona that we lost in the last inning. To come here and play against the Red Sox and play them 26 times, and beat our rival like we did, it couldn't be more satisfying. This has to be the sweetest taste of all for me.

en If I had to say who our rival was going into last year, I'd say the Twins. They had won the division and were the team to beat. Now the White Sox won the division, so they're the team to beat. We want to knock them out of first.

en When you've got a Division I rival this close, you want to beat them, and unfortunately we haven't been able to do that much. But I wasn't too displeased with this game because it was a good game. Both starting pitchers did very well, and we killed ourselves with a couple of key errors. We don't make those errors and it's a 0-0 game.

en The Mara family has been great to me, one of the reasons I never wanted to play anywhere else in my career, ... I fail a lot, but I get back up off the ground. I'm not perfect, but I never give up. That's a testament to the kind of person I am, but also to some of the same character and ideals the Mara family had.

en We have read articles where antivirus executives say that MARA has published virus source code. We believe that this may be libel. It is certainly not true: A couple of MARA members contributed to an article on the Dust virus (the first Pocket PC Trojan) last year that also had a separate, Part III written by a virus writer, in which he lists some proof-of-concept code. However, contrary to some reports, this was never published by MARA.

en Our kids believed we could play with them, and we were able to hang with them for a while. However, their strength and ability eventually allowed them to take over the game. We played good today, but we needed to play perfect to beat them.

en (Seattle is) the team in our division we would like to beat, and there are some concepts (the 49ers used against the Seahawks) where I can tell am I right or am I wrong? The game a lot of times can tell you that. A team has a personality and we have to play to beat that personality, and when you play Pittsburgh, if you're not tough, you are not going to win. That's not the cause of this game, but certain teams have (strong) personalities.

en This one was for the Duke. This game was totally for Mr. Mara. Mr. Mara was the heart of this team. We just went out and had to give this one to him. en They were totally focused, because they wanted this match. It's very sweet to beat a rival like Bennett for the championship, but we all love each other, we all get along. But when it's game time, it's each team out on the court to defeat each other.
