The offense would have been geared toward them if they stayed. Maybe we could have still made this run, but it wouldn't have been the same team.

I think everybody played well. We had a couple of moments when we made mistakes we wouldn't have liked to have made. But we distributed the ball well, the outside hitters hit respectably, we blocked some balls and played some good team defense. We stayed pretty focused, I thought.

Our offense was a little slow to get going in this one. Once we picked it up we made solid contact. Chelmsford is a tough team, and we stayed in it through the whole game. Hillary Ryan made some nice plays at second base, and Jordan Western had a great catch in left. Elisa LaRoche has been consistent at first, scooping up everything that's thrown near her. As the season progresses, we'll hit our groove and start winning.

They stayed with the double team. A lot of guys hedge him high and then run back. They stayed with it and made him give the ball up.

Right now, they're not as predictable. With Jermaine a lot, they came down, they threw it in the post, they played off him a lot. Here, they go to different people, they have a lot more ball movement, player movement. It's an offense geared toward everybody. I think Rick (Carlisle) has done a really good job with that group since they made that move.

Considering everything we are going through right now, we needed this game. I wouldn't say they run any set offense. It's a lot of different things. If they get in transition, they try to beat you down the court. With Dallas, it's just fun to watch Avery transform a team, philosophically, into a team that can win with offense or defense. They've won a lot of games that they wouldn't have won in the past because they didn't stop anybody.

The moves we have made during the last few days are geared to grow and improve our team. Trevor is a young, athletic small forward, who will fit in defensively with what we are trying to accomplish. I genuinely like Steve as a person and wish him nothing but the best.
