(Clarke) and the organization are all aware of those conversations that I've had with the doctors, and I told them that I would let them know as soon as I have made a decision and felt comfortable with that decision.

I was supposed to work two or three days scouting the Houston-LA series. They told me to come up to Seattle, and I spent seven weeks up here when they made that run to the championship. So I had two days' worth of clothes for seven weeks. You figure that one out.

The doctors said I'm not supposed to be here. When I was in the hospital the very last day, I was awake only a few minutes and they told my husband that I'm not going to be here. But I made it.I'm here. I take it a day at a time and live each day to the fullest, take no one for granted and be thankful I'm here.

Beginning May 2, 2006, Dr Chiluba will visit the doctors twice a week for review. At the end of the two weeks, we hope that the doctors would give him a longer review period. Otherwise, Dr Chiluba has remained in South Africa because the review days are close.

I think this has been a very good week for us. I had a couple of problems yesterday, but nothing unusual for winter testing. Overall, I am very happy after these first weeks of testing with the car. At the wheel, it feels quick and stable, and we made some promising steps forward with Michelin this week on the tyre development. I think we are in good shape at the moment, although it is still too early to have an accurate feeling for the competition.

Unfortunately, that's not the case. He's going to be immobilized for the next week. Then we'll start therapy again. From what the doctors told me, if we follow this procedure he should be 100 percent in two weeks.

I didn't want to mess it up by not being in shape. Basically, he told me the first couple of weeks would be a trial run to see how I handled it with the team . . . and it kind of just went from there. I enjoyed it and stuck with it and kind of just stayed.

Mitch has been out for a week and has had mono for three weeks. He practiced (Wednesday) for the first time in over a week. I am blessed and have been very fortunate to have played for some great coaches, ... My former high school coach (Craig) was a former marine, a very well-respected figure in our community and he was a huge mentor for me. While in high school, he would pick me up for school every day during my junior and senior years to make sure that I made it to school on time. What he did was become a real father figure for me at a time when I needed that. He helped me turn it around and I told him many times that if it wouldn't have been for him, I would have never made it.
