The big thing was we shot free throws. We had a little letdown with our defensive intensity (late in the game), but we hit free throws when we needed to to keep enough of a lead from them.

Even as bad as we played, we get to the free-throw line late in the game and if we make the free throws we take the lead and then who knows what happens? Our guys missed the free throws, they make them, they deserved to win.

It (foul trouble) may have been a key in the second half. But we didn't shoot hardly any free throws in the first half. The second half they had more fouls than we did. Last year I missed a free throw in a game against East. Just one, but we were down by two. So every single game now, I practice my free throws. I shot about 100 free throws this morning so just in case a situation like that came up in this game, I could knock them down.

Once again, we shot a lot free throws in this game. Over half of them were in the fourth quarter. We shot free throws pretty well today, 19 of 30 is not bad. It's not great. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. Definitely it was not like what we had the night before, but we made them down the stretch. Free throws are always big to any game, on any level. If you can't make your free throws, it will usually go against you. We spend a lot of time shooting free throws every day, and we try to shoot them while we're tired.

Shaq didn't play well and we were still in a position to win the game. And we only shot five free throws. For the game. With an intense, physical game like that, we only shot five free throws? That's another topic for discussion.

We had the effort tonight. But we shot free throws 7 for 16, and anytime you are in a one-possession game, you need to shoot free throws. And we did not.

Free throws, free throws, free throws. We were short-handed and we couldn't sub as much as we wanted to. That's when we decided to go with Matt. We knew he could step in there and knock down some big shots.

That was the first thing the coach told us when we were going over BC: They shoot 26 free throws a game and their opponents average 11 free throws. That's basically how they've been winning games. We just wanted to contain them and stay between them and the basket.

We work hard on our free throws. We end each practice with 10-15 minutes of free throws. I expect our girls to make the free throws. It is all about confidence.
