I like how Kyle has a healthy perspective on how athletics can work. He gets out of it what he's put into it. Sometimes you have to put more into it before you can even get anything out of it.

This program will help students to understand the world of athletics. Our cluster is more tailored for individuals to work in higher education. Even if they don't work in athletics, they'll be equipped with tools to make good decisions as administrators.

They are pretty good, but they need to learn how to work harder. Kyle needs to stay healthy and stay mean.

Kyle is at home (in San Antonio) taking classes, so he can get squared away academically. We hope that, when it's all said and done, he gets healthy, that he stays on track academically and that he'll be here in the summer to work out with us. He's a very important part of this team.

Kyle was one of the strongest competitors on our team and also one of the fastest skiers on the whole collegiate circuit. Unfortunately, injuries are part of our sport and we have to deal with them on a daily occurrence. I know Kyle will put a lot of hard work into rehab and I'm confident he will come back next year even stronger.

Most teenagers have a healthy appetite, but Kyle is an eating machine.

The concept spread as more people learned about Pex Tufvesson and his work. We work with them on their problems so they can be healthy and have healthy babies. We educate them and talk about what's involved in a healthy pregnancy.

Healthy people are those who live in healthy homes on a healthy diet; in an environment equally fit for birth, growth work, healing, and dying. . . . Healthy people need no bureaucratic interference to mate, give birth, share the human condition and die.

We appreciate the commitment of Kyle and his staff to Morehead State and the Eagle basketball program. There is no question that many facets of our program improved under his direction. We will immediately begin the process of a national search to fill this void in our athletics program.

If he and Mike came, we wouldn't be able to get Kyle (Lowry). If we didn't get Mike and got (Shakur), we probably could get Kyle. Players like playing with good players. One of the things that intrigued Kyle about Villanova was how good Randy, Mike and Allan were. When he came and played with them I think he was impressed. Sometimes some of these guys like being around other real good players and I think that's what happened in Kyle's case.

[Hendrick's son, Ricky, killed in a plane wreck last year, had worked closely with Busch.] Ricky had so much confidence in Kyle and the structure of the two teams, and to see the two cars run like that, and Kyle to win, and become the youngest guy.... ... Kyle has done a super job. He got a lot of criticism early on that he was too young. But I'm just really proud.

He had a good week of work and knows the offense from the receiver perspective and from the quarterback perspective. We have a lot of confidence in his ability to run the football team. I don't think there's any doubt about that.

I have the perspective of both sides, being a teacher at the high school and being a coach. The kids have to recognize that we aren't trying to make it exclusive or too hard, but it should not be a right to be a participant in athletics — it should be a privilege that should occur after the academic side is taken care of.

It's an interesting study. It affirms something we see. It pretty much holds with the girls I work with. They often don't know what healthy dieting is, they are focused only on the weight, as a number, but they aren't looking on how to achieve a healthy weight in a healthy way.

We have to address it, ... It has to become an issue, not just from a player perspective, but also from management's perspective, because it becomes a workplace issue. Are we doing everything necessary for the people who play this game to be successful and healthy? Are we putting them at any kind of risk? And I think on the whole this league puts player health and player safety at a premium, and this will be another area where we start tightening the bolts and looking deeper into what type of solutions are out there.
